The Second Year Form may be submitted to Tarion anytime during the second year. Please follow the instructions on the 2 Year Tarion document regarding submission of the completed form to Tarion and the builder.
- Protects against water penetration through the basement or foundation walls
- Protects against defects in work and materials that results in water penetration into the building envelope
- Covers defects in work or materials that result in the detachment, displacement or deterioration of exterior cladding (such as brickwork, aluminum or vinyl siding)
- Covers defects in work or materials in the electrical, plumbing and heating delivery and distribution systems
- Applies for two years, beginning on the home’s date of possession
- Protects against violations of the Ontario Building Code that affect health and safety
To be accepted by Tarion, this form must be submitted within that 40-day window.
Once the 40-Day items have been addressed, the next scheduled opportunity for warranty service with Bucci Homes is at the 1-year anniversary of your possession date.
To report additional or unresolved statutory warranty issues at that time, you’ll need to submit the Year-End Form to Tarion. This form must be submitted within the final 40 days of your first year of possession, and no later than your home’s one-year anniversary date.
